Help keep the next step within reach.
Graduation opens a door. A plan, a trusted mentor, and practical support can help a young person keep moving. Cornerstone is an alumni-led nonprofit building on Youth ChalleNGe, Job ChalleNGe, and other opportunity-youth programs. Our current work is rooted in New Mexico; we welcome conversations with youth-serving programs nationwide as resources and relationships grow.
CURRENT PROGRAM
Purpose-specific help with required education and career expenses—not unrestricted cash awards. Requests require documentation, board review, eligibility, available funds, and compliance with any donor restrictions.
REQUEST-BASED SUPPORT
Tools. Supplies. Testing. Tutoring. Academies can request support for eligible unmet program needs. Each request is reviewed by the board; assistance depends on available funds and is not guaranteed.
CURRENT MENTORING · EXPANSION PROPOSED
A person, a plan, and follow-through. Mentoring, resource connections, and alumni leadership development are underway. Grant proposals would expand case management, Success Plans, career guidance, and financial education—supported by our web-based tools.
PROPOSED PILOT · SEEKING FOUNDING SUPPORT
A separate 24-month engagement initiative using truthful monthly updates, participation incentives, and opportunities to reconnect with resources. Enrollment is not open. Launch requires funding, board approval, program coordination, and finalized consent procedures.
Each funded initiative will follow its own approved service area, eligibility, budget, timeline, and reporting requirements. Cohort sizes and outcome goals in proposals are plans, not results already achieved. We will not count the same person twice as a unique participant or charge the same expense to multiple funders. Expansion will follow funding, approvals, and service capacity.
